CASE STUDIES

My team filmed at the beach for a product launch video.

The visuals for the project were strong, but unfortunately bad weather meant that the footage came back with wind noise, making most of the audio unusable.

As the editor for the project, I managed to clean up some of the audio, but there were still big parts of the script that could not be salvaged.

With little time to spare and no opportunity to re-record on location, I had to come up with a creative solution to ensure that this time-sensitive launch could still go ahead.

Ultimately, we recorded voiceovers to replace the parts that could not be saved and I created motion graphics to cover the visuals.

As a result, the launch was able to go ahead without compromise on delivery and the video performed well, with the audience unaware that we had any production issues.

FIXING NOISY AUDIO

Spotting an opportunity to increase our SEO, I fully conceived a successful format of video series for the Change Checker brand.

The premise of the series was that every individual circulating coin would have its own dedicated Fact File, informing the audience of its scarcity, significance and circulating mintage. These videos were deliberately kept short, allowing us to fill our content planner easily and to be easily adaptable for multiple social platforms.

This meant that whenever a collector Googled the name of the coin, our video would appear at the top of the search results.

The first video in this series reached an incredible 50,000 organic views within the first 10 days of release - and two other videos in the series have surpassed 500,000 views - becoming some of the most popular videos on the channel!
